Stress - strain behaviour of confined nano silica-based concrete

In the present study, stress-stain behaviour of confined concrete made with nano-silica (nano-SiO 2 ) were taken up. The stress-strain was studied for M30 and M50 grades mixes steel rebars. confinement given in form hoops cylinders, 3 (0.8%), 4 (1.1%), 5 (1.3%) 6 (1.6%). addition along enhanced compressive strength, indicating further effect concrete. It is observed that helpful lower confinements only. Beyond 1.1% confinement, doesn’t show any on strengths. From all types mixes, it concluded ultimate load-carrying capacity strains at peak stresses are more up to confinement. has increased ductility both unconfined states
